Configure Email Templates

You need to configure an email template in Business Intelligence to create campaigns in Oracle AI Apps for ERP. You can use this template as the layout and it contains the subject of the email.

  1. From the Oracle Analytics Publisher, download the template that you’ll use to configure your email template.

    1. Sign in to the Oracle Analytics Publisher with the AI_APPS_BIP role using the http://hostname.com:port/xmlpserver URL.

    2. On the header, click Catalog.

    3. On the Catalog page, Folders pane, expand Shared FoldersFinancialsWorkflow NotificationsPayables and click Invoices.

      You can see the reports and folders in the Invoices folder appear in the display area.

    4. In the Dynamic Discount Campaign Offer Email Notification row, click More and from the menu, select Customize.

      This creates a copy of the template in the Invoices folder and the Dynamic Discount Campaign Offer Email Notification page is displayed with the created copy.

    5. On the Dynamic Discount Campaign Offer Email Notification layout, click Edit.

      The template is downloaded to your machine.

  2. Edit the template according to your campaign requirements.

    You can replace the placeholder with your company name, revise the notification text, and change the look and feel of the template.

  3. Upload the edited email template to the Publisher.

    1. Go back to the Dynamic Discount Campaign Offer Email Notification page and click Delete on the existing template.

    2. On the confirmation dialog, click OK.

    3. Click Add New Layout.

    4. In Upload or Generate Layout section, click Upload.

    5. On the Upload Template File window:

      1. In the Layout Name field, enter Dynamic Discount Campaign Offer Email Notification.

      2. In the Template File field, click Choose File and select the template you edited.

      3. In the Type field, select RTF Template.

      4. In the Locale field, select English.

      5. Click Upload.

        You can see the edited template uploaded on the page.
