Configure Recipients

You can configure supplier contacts as supplier portal users so that they can receive offers and respond to them by email.

Here’s how you can create a user role, add it to your supplier roles, and then create the contact:

  1. Create the supplier portal user role for early payment administration.
    1. Sign in to Oracle Financials Cloud using the IT security manager role.
    2. Go to Navigator > Tools > Security Console.
    3. In the navigation pane, click Roles.
    4. Click Create Role.
    5. Enter a role name and code. Select the role category as Financials - Job Roles.
    6. Click Next.
    7. On the Privileges tab, click Add Function Security Policy.
    8. In the Add Function Security Policy dialog box, search for Manage Early Payment Offers in Supplier Portal and select the matching result. Then, click Add Privilege to Role.
    9. Close the dialog box.
    10. Click Next to skip to the Summary page.
      Note: For creating this role, you don’t need to enter any values after adding the function security policy. You can directly skip to the Summary page.
    11. Click Save and Close, and then click OK.
  2. Add the role to supplier user roles.
    1. Sign in to Oracle Financials Cloud using the Supplier Administrator or Supplier Manager role.
    2. Go to Navigator > My Enterprise > Setup and Maintenance.
    3. In the Tasks panel tab, click Search.
    4. Search for Manage Supplier User Roles and select the matching task.
    5. Click Actions > Select and Add.
    6. Search for the role that you created earlier and click Apply.
  3. Create the supplier contact.
    1. Go to Navigator > Procurement > Suppliers.
    2. Search for the supplier name.
    3. On the Supplier page, select the Contacts tab and click Edit.
    4. Select an existing contact that you want to edit or create a new contact.
    5. Ensure that the contact has an email address.
    6. Scroll down to the User Account section.
    7. Select the Create user account check box.
    8. The default supplier portal roles are automatically populated. Click Select and Add to add the role you created earlier.
    9. Click Submit.
  4. Schedule a process to import the user and role security data as follows:

    1. Go to Navigator > Tools > Scheduled Processes.

      You might need to click More to expose the Tools options.

    2. Click Schedule New Process and select the values shown here:

    3. Click OK.

    4. In the Process Details window, click Submit.

    5. Make a note of the process ID, and then click OK.

    6. Click Refresh until the status of the process ID you noted shows as succeeded.

The supplier receives an email confirmation for their new supplier portal access and request to reset their password.
