Account Set Statuses

Before you can use an account set, you must set its status to Active. The following table describes the account set statuses and the changes you can make to an account set in each status.

Note: You can delete an account set regardless of its status, as long as it’s not being used. You can also set up user-defined statuses for account sets according to your business need. See Manage Oracle Joint Venture Management Lookups for more information.
Status Action
Editing

The initial status when setting up an account set. After saving an account set in this status, you can modify any of the details in the account set except for the account set name.

You can change the status of an account set from Active to Editing. However, if the account set is associated to an overhead method, you'll be prevented from changing any values that impact the processing of the ledger for the account set.

Active

Change the account set status to Active to enable it for use.

You can't delete an account set that's in the Active status and is being used by a joint venture definition, overhead method, or ownership definition assignment rule.

Inactive Change the account set to this status when you no longer need to use it to identify transactions. Before you change the status to Inactive, make sure that it’s not being used by an active joint venture definition, overhead method, or ownership definition assignment rule.
