Manage Receipts

You can manage manually created receipts in the same way as bank returns for Brazil.

Here are some examples:
  • Debit memos are created for the difference between the received interest versus calculated interest which are above the tolerance limit.
  • Interest adjustments are automatically created for the received interest.
  • Interest write-off adjustments are automatically created for the difference between the received interest versus calculated interest which are within the tolerance limit.

Here are some examples of interest-related scenarios:

  • Manual receipt with received interest greater than the calculated interest
  • Manual receipt with partial amount and total interest amount for the partial payment Manual receipt with calculated interest equal to the received interest
  • Manual receipt with received interest less than the calculated interest

To create receipts manually, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Receivables and then Accounts Receivable.
  2. Click Tasks.
  3. Select Create Receipts (or Manage Receipts) on the Receipts tab.
  4. Select or enter values in these fields as required:
    • Receipt Type
    • Business Unit
    • Receipt Method
    • Receipt Number
    • Entered Amount
    • Receipt Date
    • Accounting Date
  5. In Remittance Bank Information section, select or enter values in these fields as required:
    • Bank Name
    • Branch
    • Account
    • Deposit Date
  6. In Customer section, select or enter values in these fields as required:
    • Account Number
    • Name
    • Taxpayer Identification
    • Submit
