What's the difference between account activity and transaction activity?

Activity against a customer account refers to the transactions, adjustments, and receipts that make up the details of the account.

Customer account activities include:

  • Invoices

  • Credit memos

  • Debit memos

  • Chargebacks

  • Adjustments

  • Receipts

Activity against an individual transaction or receipt refers to the specific debits, credits, reversals, and adjustments that constitute the history of one receivables item.

To review the specific activity against an individual transaction or receipt:

  1. In the Accounts section of the Review Customer Account Details page, select the customer account you want.

  2. In the Account Details section, click the Activities tab.
  3. In the View Activities By field, select the view you want.
  4. Select the row of the transaction you want.
  5. The section below the transaction table displays the activity class and all the details of this specific activity.
