Add an Additional Amount to a Partner Contribution with a Manual Transaction

Use this method to add an additional amount to a partner contribution whose opening amount was added with a manual invoice or journal entry.

Note: Before you perform this task, create a manual receivables invoice or journal entry for the additional amount outside of Oracle Joint Venture Management. You then associate the manual transaction with the partner contribution in this task.
  1. In the Partner Contributions work area, click the partner contribution ID of the partner contribution to which you want to add an additional amount.
    Or click Manage in Excel and add additional amounts to multiple partner contributions.
  2. Click the Actions menu and select Add Amount.
  3. On Add Amount to Partner Contribution, complete the following fields:
    • Transaction Number. Enter the transaction number on the manual transaction that you created for the additional amount.
    • Transaction Date. Enter the transaction date on the manual transaction. By default, the current date is used.
    • Entered Amount. Enter the amount that you want to add in the partner contribution currency.

      This field appears only if the partner contribution was created in a preferred currency that’s different than the joint venture’s primary ledger currency.

    • Accounted Amount. Enter the amount that you want to add in the joint venture’s primary ledger currency.
      Note: Make sure that the entered and accounted amounts you specified correspond to the amount on the manual transaction.
    • Transaction Type. Select Invoice or Journal depending on whether you created an invoice or a journal entry for the additional amount.
  4. Click Submit.

Results:

A record for the additional amount transaction appears in the Transactions tab with a transaction status of Process Complete. The partner contribution open amount is replenished with the additional amount.
