About Project Overrides

Cost adjustments imported from Oracle Joint Venture Management into Oracle Project Costing have a different expenditure type and burdening expenditure type than the originating transactions. Joint Venture Management overrides these values when it creates the adjustments to help ensure they’re classified correctly for capitalization and reporting.

An optional task override can be applied to cost adjustments to associate cost adjustments from Oracle Joint Venture Management with a specific task.

A joint venture application administrator sets up the overrides as part of configuring the integration between Joint Venture Management and Project Costing. The project overrides apply to all joint ventures; they can’t be set up for individual ones. For more information, see Set Up Project Overrides for Cost Adjustments.
