Add Account Address Set Assignments

You can assign an account address set to a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI)/EFT indicator record for a trading partner and submit the process to create or update a customer party, customer account, and customer site record in Oracle Receivables for the UEI/EFT indicator.

On successful assignment of the account address sets, the Process SAM Trading Partner Information process creates or updates customer data in Oracle Receivables and maps the UEI-EFT indicator to Receivables objects including customer parties, customer accounts, customer sites, bank accounts, and account contacts. In addition, the SAM attributes such as Unique Entity Identifier, CAGE/NCAGE Code, and so on will be populated at the customer account and customer site levels. For information about the SAM attributes, see Accounts Receivable Attributes.

You can assign account address sets to a UEI-EFT indicator record. You can assign multiple account address sets to a specific UEI-EFT indicator record on the Manage SAM Trading Partners page, or you can assign multiple account address sets to multiple UEI-EFT indicator records using a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and then upload the data from the spreadsheet to U.S. Federal Financials. To assign multiple account address sets by using a spreadsheet, see Manage SAM Data in Microsoft Excel.

  1. On the Home page, select U.S. Federal Financials and then click SAM Trading Partners.

  2. On Manage SAM Trading Partners, search for and select the UEI-EFT indicator to which you want to assign account address sets.

  3. Click Account Address Set Assignment.

    Note:

The Account Address Set Assignment button is enabled only if the trading partner’s registration status is "Active" or account address set assignments exist for the record.

The Manage Account Address Set Assignments page displays all the records for the UEI-EFT indicator.

  4. (Optional) On Manage Account Address Set Assignments, select a customer party from the Customer Party drop-down list.

  5. Click the Edit icon for the UEI-EFT indicator record for which you want to add the account address set assignment.

  6. Select an account address set from the Account Address Set drop-down list.
    Note:

If data security is enabled for U.S. Federal Financials, the drop-down list displays only the account address sets that you're authorized to view.

  7. (Optional) To add a customer account, select a customer account from the Customer Account drop-down list.

    Note:

The Customer Account field is enabled only if the Account Address Set field is populated.

  8. Click the Apply icon.

The Customer Process Status for the UEI-EFT indicator record is updated to "Unprocessed". The "Unprocessed" status indicates that there are unprocessed changes that will be updated after the user clicks Submit on the Manage Account Address Set Assignments page.

  9. (Optional) To assign another account address set to a UEI-EFT indicator:

    1. Select the row for the UEI-EFT indicator record and then click Add Account Address Set Assignment.
      Note:

The Add Account Address Set Assignment button is enabled only if the UEI-EFT indicator record has one or more account address sets assigned to it.

    2. A new row appears where you can enter the account address set assignment details. Repeat Steps 6 through 8.

  10. Click Submit.

This initiates the process to create or update the customer party, customer account, and customer site details in Receivables for the UEI-EFT indicator record.

If the process is successful, the Customer Party and Customer Account fields are created or updated in Receivables, and the Customer Process Status field is updated to "Processed."

If the process fails to create the customer data in Receivables, the Customer Process Status field is updated to "Error."
