Restructuring the Cube

You can schedule a job to perform a full restructure of a block storage cube to eliminate or reduce fragmentation. This will also remove empty blocks. Running this job won't push any changes from the business process to Oracle Essbase.

A Restructure Cube job is automatically created and is available for you to schedule from the App Maintenance tab on the Jobs console.

To schedule a Restructure Cube job:

1. From the Home page, click Application, and then click Jobs.

2. From the Jobs console, click the App Maintnenance tab.

3. Click the checkbox next to the Restructure Cube job to select it.

4. With the job selected, click in the Actions column, and select Schedule.

5. In the Schedule Job dialog box, under Run Job, select either Run Now or Schedule.

6. Review the details for the job, and then click Submit.
