Prerequisites for Using AI Studio CLI

  1. If you're using Codex to access CLI, you must have already procured access to OpenAI/Anthropic Codex through a subscription. The Codex API keys aren't included as part of Oracle product.

    Note: Usage of Codex doesn't count toward any Oracle AI units, as it's a separate subscription.
  2. If you're using Visual Studio Code, make sure that you've installed NodeJS and Visual Studio Code.
