Why can't I add attachments to a knowledge article as an author?
You may not be able to attach files to an article in Knowledge Authoring because either attachments are not allowed for the article content type or the file type is not allowed or your file exceeds the file size limit.
An article can have up to 20 attachments with a maximum file size of 100 MB.
