Why can't I suggest improvements to knowledge articles from the Knowledge application?
You need the Create Knowledge Tasks privilege having CSO_KNOWLEDGE_CREATE_TASK_PRIV as its code, to be able to view the Suggest a Change option, which allows you to provide feedback suggestions to improve knowledge articles from My Knowledge, Redwood Service Center, My Help, and Redwood Help Desk.
Note: This answer is applicable to Fusion Service Knowledge Management
with Redwood User Experience, release 24C and higher.
An administrator can enable the Suggest a Change option for a user in one of the following ways:
- By adding the Create Knowledge Tasks privilege to one of the custom roles
assigned to the user, and then running the following scheduled processes in the
order given below:
- Send Pending LDAP Request
- Retrieve Latest LDAP Changes
- Import User and Role Application Security Data
- By assigning one of the predefined roles, which has the Create Knowledge
Tasks privilege, to the user. For example:
- Knowledge Manager
- Service Request Administrator
- Service Request Troubleshooter
- Customer Self Service Usage
For more information on the list of predefined roles, see the Security Reference guide for your product on Oracle Help Center.
