Configure Profile Option for Actions to Take When Contacts Are Purged

Configure the ORA_SVC_SR_GDPR_OPTIONS_FOR_CONTACT profile option to decide the actions to take on SRs and their related objects when contacts are purged. You can select one of the listed values as required for your company.

Delete SRs and child objects when purging associated contact Deletes all service requests and their child objects where the purged contact is the primary or secondary contact.
Delete SRs and child objects when purging SR primary contact Deletes all service requests and their child objects where the purged contact is the primary contact.
Do nothing Makes no changes to the service request. This is the default behaviour of your service application when a contact is deleted.
Remove the association of purged contacts with SR Removes the association between the purged contacts and the service requests, but make no other changes to the service request or its child objects.
Clear SR Messages with PII data when purged contact is sender Clears out the content of all the service request messages where the purged contact is the sender and the message is marked to contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Clear SR Messages with PII data where correspondent purged Clears out the content of all service request messages where the purged contact is a correspondent and the message is marked to contain PII.

  1. Sign in as an administrator.
  2. Navigate to the Setup and Maintenance work area.
  3. Open the Tasks panel tab and click Search.
  4. Search for and click the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.
  5. On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, navigate to the Search region.
  6. In the Profile Option Code field, type ORA_SVC_SR_GDPR_OPTIONS_FOR_CONTACT and click Search.
    The ORA_SVC_SR_GDPR_OPTIONS_FOR_CONTACT profile option is displayed in the Search Results: Profile Options region.
  7. In the ORA_SVC_SR_GDPR_OPTIONS_FOR_CONTACT: Profile Values region, navigate to the Profile Value column for the Site Profile Level.
  8. From the list of displayed values, select the value that you want to set for the profile option.
