Add the Contact Type column to the Service Center Contacts view

Use the Contact Type column in the Service Request Contacts table to distinguish between regular contacts and partner contacts directly from the Service Request details page.

When agents open the Contacts view from the Show Contacts Smart Action, they can add the ContactTypeCd field to the table layout to also view contact types. This helps agents quickly identify whether a row represents a Contact or a Partner Contact, reducing confusion when multiple contact types are associated with a service request.

Here's how you add it:

  1. In Visual Builder Studio, go to Layouts > Customer Experience (CX) > Service Center > Service Requests > Contacts.
  2. Find the Contacts layout.
  3. Select the dynamic table named Service Request Details Contact Layout.
  4. Duplicate the layout, then in the duplicated layout, add the ContactTypeCd field as a new column.
  5. Save your changes.
  6. Preview the page to confirm that the new column appears in the Contacts table.
