Hide the message identification number in response emails

When Agents are exchanging emails with a customer, a message identification number is automatically stamped on the email to ensure that a reply to that email message is associated with the correct service request.

If this number is distracting to customers or agents, you can hide it in response emails. While still technically on the email message, it isn't visibly rendered. Here's how you enable:

  1. In Setup and Maintenance, click the Tasks icon, then Search.
  2. Search for and select Manage Administrator Profile Values.
  3. Enter ORA_SVC_HIDE_OUTBOUND_MSG_TAG in the Profile Option Code field.
  4. In the Profile Values section, specify Site level, then select Yes from the Profile Value drop-down list.
  5. Click Save and Close.
