Modify any field on posted service request messages in Redwood

You can allow users who've been assigned the correct privilege to edit all fields on any SR message of any type (except system generated messages), including the PII checkbox.

Posted SR messages often need to be edited to fix typos, errors or to tag them as containing sensitive PII information. To improve data quality administrators can grant users the ability to change posted SR messages. Here's how you do it.
  • If you want a user to be able to modify the message body to remove PII data or fix errors in any posted SR message, grant the user the SVC_EDIT_SR_MESSAGES_PRIV privilege.
  • If you want a user to be able to modify the SR message header, to deselect the PII checkbox, in any posted SR message, grant the user the SVC_EDIT_SR_MESSAGE_HEADERS_PRIV privilege.

Users with these privileges can now edit all SR messages no matter the message type (except system messages) or creator of the message.
