Configure Profile Options to Purge Inbound Email Messages
You must configure the following profile options for purging inbound email messages.

SVC_INBOUND_MSG_RETENTION_DAYS |
Indicates the number of retention days for inbound email messages. After the specified number of retention days, the successfully processed email messages are deleted from the inbound message table, inbound message parts table, and inbound message batch table. The default value is 30. |
SVC_INBOUND_ENABLE_FAILED_MESSAGE_PURGE |
Indicates whether to enable purging of inbound email messages that fail or aren't processed successfully. The default value is No. When the value is No, inbound email messages that fail or aren't processed successfully, are retained. After you review such email messages and take corrective action, you can set the value to Yes. When the value is set to Yes, the purge job deletes the corresponding records from the following tables:

Navigate to the Setup and Maintenance work area and open the Tasks panel tab.

Click Search from the list of displayed tasks.

In the Search field, type Manage Administrator.

From the displayed list of tasks, click Manage Administrator Profile Values.

In the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, navigate to the Search: Profile Option region.

In the Profile Option Code field, type
SVC_INBOUND_%
. -
Click Search.
The Search Results: Profile Options region displays a list of profile options.

Select SVC_INBOUND_MSG_RETENTION_DAYS.

In the Profile Values region, specify the values in the Profile Value column for the Site Profile Level as described in the table.

Select SVC_INBOUND_ENABLE_FAILED_MESSAGE_PURGE and repeat the previous step.

Click Save.
