Enable the Help Desk Mobile UI for Employees

With HR Help Desk, you can have employees access UIs on their mobile device for some functions. Once enabled, the mobile UI can be accessed from any HCM page where the link has been enabled with page composer.

Capabilities include:

  • Service Request List of My SR's

  • Create Service Request

  • Edit or Update Service Request

  • Search Knowledge (Requires adding the View Knowledge within Service Request privilege (SVC_VIEW_KNOWLEDGE_IN_SR_PRIV) to the role.)

You first need to enable the profile option. Here's how:

  1. Sign into Setup and Maintenance.

  2. Search for the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.

  3. Search for the Profile Option Code: HCM_HD_RESPONSIVE_PAGES_ENABLED.

  4. Set the profile option to Yes.

Once enabled, the mobile UI can be accessed from links that have been added to HCM pages using Page Composer.

The mobile UI is can't be accessed from Navigator.
