Manage Link Behavior

At the site level, you can configure the default behavior of URL links inserted in the articles. These links when clicked can open in a new tab or in the same tab.

Use this procedure to configure the URL link behavior:

1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the Manage Knowledge Common Profile Options task:

   • Offering: Service
   • Functional Area: Knowledge Management
   • Task: Manage Knowledge Common Profile Options
2. Click the ORA_CSO_CONTENT_DEFAULT_URL_LINK_TARGET profile option to define the URL link behavior

   1. Select the desired Profile Value:

      • Links open in a new tab
      • Links open in the same tab

   2. Click Save.

      The default URL link behavior is saved. This applies only to URL links inserted in the articles after the configuration.

Note: This configuration does not apply to URL links in the articles created prior to configuring the URL links behavior. Refer the User guide to change the URL link behavior.

Note: This configuration does not apply to attachments inserted inside the article. Attachment links follow the behavior of the browser.
