Process Outstanding Actions from a Previous PRP

The pensions automatic enrolment can process outstanding joiners and leavers from a previous pay reference period (PRP).

For example, if your employees can notify you after payroll cut-off of a leaver, you can enable the application to process this as of the previous period. You can enable this while setting the default values for pensions at the organization level. Select the check box Process outstanding actions from previous PRP for unprocessed joiners and leavers.

The process supports these actions:

  • Joiners
    • Contractual opt-in
    • Self-service enrolment
    • Manually enrolled
    • Opt-in
  • Leavers
    • Contractual opt-out
    • Self-service opt-out
    • Employee self-unenroled
    • Left scheme
    • Opt-Out
    • Transfer

When you select this check box, the assessment process first processes any unprocessed (no processed date stamped) joiners or leavers. It then continues to assess the employee for this period taking the previous period's newly calculated values into account.

Sometimes the automatic enrolment process may return two result elements, each of which is processed based on effective update date.
