People Group

Use the People Group key flexfield to record people group information and assign people to specific groups, such as unions or working groups. For example, you may want to assign people to unions or pension plans to determine eligibility or regulate access to payrolls.

The key flexfield is part of the Global Human Resources application and is identified by the PPG flexfield code and People Group Flexfield name.

How to Enable People Group for Use in HCM

You can enable the flexfield either at the enterprise level (using the Manage Enterprise HCM Information task) or the legal employer level (using the Manage Legal Entity HCM Information task).

People Group is an optional field and is available on all assignment and employment pages (except the Change Manager page).

Note: The People Group field is hidden out-of-the-box, you can enable it through personalization.

Where People Group Information is Stored

• The information is stored in the PEOPLE_GROUP_ID column of the PER_ALL_ASSIGNMENTS_M table.

• The PEOPLE_GROUP_ID column is a foreign key to the PEOPLE_GROUP_ID column in the PER_PEOPLE_GROUPS table.
