Associate Action Reasons in Position with Role

You can make the action and action reason role-specific on these position pages by selecting the applicable roles when you configure the action and action reason.

  • Request a New Position
  • Request a Position Change
  • Update Position (from Position Details)
  • Correct Position (from Position Details)
  • Duplicate Position (from Position Details)

After the configuration, the position pages will display the action and action reason that are specific to the worker's logged in user role. You need to associate the action reasons on the Configure Actions page. In these steps, we will create a new action reason and associate the role.

  1. On the Home page, click My Client Groups > Workforce Structures > Action Reasons.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter a name, code, and description for the action.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. On the Home page, click My Client Groups > Workforce Structures > Configure Actions.
  6. Search and click the action with which you want to associate the specific action reason, for example, Update. This table lists the flows associated with the action.

    • Request a Position Change
  7. On the Edit Action page, click Continue in the Action section.
  8. Click Associate.
  9. Select the action reason you created.
  10. Enter a start date for the association.
  11. Select the roles you want to associate.
  12. Click Submit.

In addition to the action reasons associated with the role, you can also see the action reasons that are available for all users and not associated with any role in the Action Reasons LOV.
