Person Spotlight Search

As a professional user, you can use the Person Spotlight Search that uses Oracle Search and a customizable interface for an enhanced search experience.

Here's what you can do with the person spotlight search:

  • Leverage Oracle Search to search for people quickly and easily.
  • Use the display number or assignment number to search for people.
  • Filter the results using various assignment filters, for example, Effective as-of Date and Include Terminated Work Relationships.
  • View workers' active assignments when you open their person spotlight page.
  • View the search results in a grid pattern and customize the grid columns.
  • Navigate to a person's spotlight page from the search results where you can perform tasks depending on your role.

As you type your search criteria, you can see a list of suggested results with names and assignment numbers. From the list, you can select a person to open their person spotlight page. If you don't select from the list and press Enter, the application performs a search.

Oracle Search performs a fuzzy search and your search results include names that closely match your search criteria. For example, if you search for Anderson, you can see results that include similar names like Andersen. You can scroll on the page to load more results and find more people that match your search criteria.

For a filter category, the top 10 values are displayed in the LOV. If you don’t see the value that you need, you can start typing the value in the LOV to find it. After you apply relevant filters, click the See Results button to view the filtered data.

The fields listed under Hide are not shown in the results. If you want to view a field from this list as a column, you can drag and drop it in the column configurator or select the check box next to the field.

You can use filters across categories to refine your search results. Apart from the filters displayed on the page, you can click the filter icon to view the full list of filters. The filters also display the aggregation counts of results having the same value.
