What's the difference between the hold billing option and the stop billing option?

You select the Hold billing calculation check box to keep charges for a particular offering on hold for that billing period. The check box is available in the Review Benefit Coverage Charges page.

Typically, you might want to hold a plan or bill for a short period of time while you are in discussion with an individual employee or retiree. The charges on hold apply only to a specific billing period. They continue to appear as normal charges in subsequent bills you generate.

The Stop billing check box, available in the Billed Enrollments tab, cancels current and subsequent billing for selected plan types. The corresponding charges cease to appear in bills.
