Payroll Data Validation Report for China

Run the Payroll Data Validation Report to generate a list of workers with missing or noncompliant payroll data. Use this report to verify if the required data setup for all workers for the payroll run or process is complete.

As a payroll manager, you can run this report and make relevant corrections to complete the employee or payroll-related data. This is a prerequisite task to check for any missing data before running all the payroll processes.

Run Payroll Data Validation Report

  1. From the home page, navigate to My Client Groups > Payroll > Flow Submission and Results > Submit a Flow.

  2. Select a Chinese legislative data group.

  3. Select the Run Payroll Data Validation Report from the list of processes or reports.
  4. Select the required Payroll Flow name for the process that’s being run. Enter a value each time the process is run.
  5. Use the Effective As-of Date field to specify the first effective date of the payroll process to include in the report. The data status is verified as of the selected effective date.

  6. Select the Legal Employer for whom the report is to be run.

  7. Click Submit and then click Refresh to view the task completion status.
  8. When the status is Completed, click the Payroll Data Validation Report.pdf link to download and save the report.
  9. The report generates data with the following details:

    • Person Name

    • Person Number

    • Validation Message

    The messages for a payroll statutory unit on missing data setup for social security management are sorted by territory, social security type, and contribution type.

Payroll Data Validation Criteria

The payroll data validation checks all the employee’s payroll relationship deduction card for the Effective As of Date as listed here:

  1. Check the contribution type for all the social security and enterprise annuity items on the card

  2. Check TRU association for the employees on the card

  3. Check TRU social security registration info to derive the territory value

  4. Check PSU statutory deduction card to see whether contribution base, rate or amount rules are set up for the combination of the social security type + contribution type + territory

    Note: A validation message is displayed if no base or rate definition is set up for a particular combination of the social security type, contribution type and territory.
  5. Check all the TRUs associated for the employees on the card and the registration information for the deduction components associated with the TRU

    Note: A validation message is displayed if the registration isn't set up for a particular deduction component such as Individual Income Tax registration, Public Housing Fund registration, Social Insurance registration and Enterprise Annuity registration.
  6. Check if a tax record exists for territory other than China while checking the individual income tax registration information
