Considerations for Duplicate Checks When Importing Person Records

You can specify at the enterprise level whether to search for duplicates when creating person records using HCM Data Loader or the new hire flows (except the classic pages).

Use the Manage Enterprise HCM Information task in the Setup and Maintenance work area to set duplicate checks when importing or creating person records. You can also request a duplicate person check for individual worker objects that you load using HCM Data Loader. Any setting specified on the worker object takes precedence over the enterprise-level setting.

If one or more criteria is missing when the other criteria produce a match, the application identifies the record as a matching record. All records that are a match aren't imported.
