Create a Units-Based Time Category for Meals Taken

You plan to use meal-related time entries in rules that calculate meal allowances and in reports. So you create this time category to identify the Payroll Time Type time attribute value Meals Taken US.

You use the Time Categories task in the Setup and Maintenance work area. The task is part of the Workforce Deployment Offering, Time and Labor functional area.
  1. On the Time Categories page, click the Create icon.
  2. On the Create Time Category page, complete the fields, as shown here:
    Field Value
    Name Meals Taken US
    Description Identifies time entries with the Meals Taken US payroll value
    Track Usage Yes
    UOM Units
  3. Complete the condition row, as shown here:
    Time Attribute Value Type Attribute Value
    Payroll Time Type Specific Value Meals Taken US
  4. Click Save and Close.
  5. On the Confirmation dialog box, click OK.
