Define Filters

Filters enable you to specify the triggering criteria for alert notifications.

To define filters for a Resource alert:

  1. On the Filters tab, click Add Filter.

  2. On the Add Filter page, in the Resource field, select the specific parent or child resource such as workers/emails.

  3. Click Add Expression to define filter expressions on specific attributes of the resource.

  4. In the Edit Expression dialog box, select the parameters to build the filter expression.

    1. Enter a name for the expression.

    2. Use the Prefix With option to specify any prefix operators on the expression.

    3. In the Attribute field, select the resource name and the attribute that you want to specify the filter condition on.

    4. In the Operator field, select the logical operator.

    5. In the Value field, specify the value for the condition.

    6. Click Insert into Expression.

    7. Click Apply. The expression appears on the Add Filter page.

    8. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to add more filter expressions.

  5. Click Apply to return to the Add Resource Alert page.

  6. Repeat steps 1 to 4 to define more filters on the Resource alert.
