Overview

To set up payroll interface for ADP-WFN, define the value sets and the object group for payroll relationship. Once you define the requirements for payroll relationship, associate the employees to payroll.

Use the delivered Run Payroll Interface for ADP Workforce Now flow pattern to run the payroll interface extract process.

Define Value Sets

Create value sets for multiple company details. The application delivers the ORA_HRY_PAYROLL_COMPANY_CODE_VALUESET value set.

Here's how you can enter values for ORA_HRY_PAYROLL_COMPANY_CODE_VALUESET company code value set:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the Manage Value Sets task.

  2. Search for and select the ORA_HRY_PAYROLL_COMPANY_CODE_VALUESET value set.

  3. Click Manage Values.

  4. On the Manage Values page, click Create.

  5. Enter each company code as a new value.

  6. Click Save and Close.

Define Object Groups

Extract the multiple payroll group employee data in a single file. Use the Object Groups task to group the payroll in a single extract. Run the extract process for each object group to extract data belonging to the grouped payrolls. Use the same approach to group employees that weren't included in the extract or that must be extracted again.

Associate Employees to Payroll

Specify the payroll to which the employee must be mapped in the Payroll Details sub section of the Assignment section while hiring an employee using the Oracle Fusion HCM hire flow. On the Payroll Relationships page, you can associate newly-hired employees to the respective payroll.

Payload Rules

Use Payload Rules to configure the attributes required for the Payroll Interface for ADP Workforce Now integration. Payload rules support a dynamic selection of required attributes to include in the extract output file for your business needs and data protection policies. You can select and deselect attributes and data groups from the parent data set, which is delivered as a seeded integration and is more specific to ADP Workforce Now interfacing requirement.

Payroll Transfers

When you transfer an employee from Monthly payroll to Biweekly payroll, then the extract sends the new payroll information along with related employment and payroll data to the third-party payroll application.

Run the ADP Workforce Now Interface Process

Use the Submit Extracts task to execute Run Payroll Interface for ADP Workforce Now extract process.

The new extract:

  • Removes redundant and obsolete attributes information from the data set extraction. For example, the redundant federal level attributes in the calculation card page from the W-4 form that's effective from 2020 isn't included in the extract.

  • Excludes unconsumed data sets related to Bank and Absence transactions.
