Overview of Profit Sharing Task Flow

Use the Calculate Mexico Profit Sharing task flow to process the details of all employees to calculate the profit sharing payment.

Calculate Mexico Profit Sharing Task Flow

This task flow produces three outputs:

  • Excel report – ProfitSharingReport.xlsx

  • Element entry HCM Data Loader text file – ElementEntry.txt

  • Audit information HCM Data Loader text file – PayrollInterfaceInboundRecord.txt

The excel report includes additional person and employment information:

  • CURP

  • RFC

  • IMSS

  • Hire Date

  • Mexico Adjusted Service Date

  • Assignment Start Date

  • Assignment Category

  • Termination Date

  • Statutory Eligibility Criteria Met

When the Calculate Mexico Profit Sharing flow has completed successfully you’ll need to:

  • Rename the ElementEntry.txt HCM Data Loader text file with a .dat extension. Upload the ElementEntry.dat Profit Sharing HCM Data Loader file. This step isn't required if you chose to create the element entries from the Calculate Mexico Profit Sharing task flow.

  • Rename the PayrollInterfaceInboundRecord.txt HCM Data Loader text file with a.dat extension. Upload the PayrollInterfaceInboundRecord.dat HCM Data Loader file. You need to complete this to review the employee’s profit sharing information in the application using the Payroll Interface Inbound Records page.

The Calculate Mexico Profit Sharing task flow has these parameters:

Element Entry Creation Date

Select a date for element entry creation.

Element Name

Element to be used for profit sharing payment.

The dropdown list displays the elements that match the following criteria:

  • Secondary Classification is Profit Sharing.

  • The element exists on the Element Entry Creation Date and eligibility is defined.

Create Element Entry

Select an option for the dropdown:

  • No: The excel report and HCM data loader file are produced.

  • YesThe element entries are created for the employees, alomgwith the excel report and HCM data loader file.

Payroll Relationship Group

List of payroll relationship groups for the LDG. The profit sharing will be processed for only this group of employees. However, the profit sharing will be across all the employees in the PSU.

Process Configuration Group

Name of the Payroll Process Configuration Group to provide sets of processing parameters related to logging and performance.

Note: Running the Calculate Mexico Profit Sharing locks the last payroll run of the fiscal year the PTU (Profit Sharing payment,Participación a los Trabajadores de las Utilidades in Spanish) is computed for.If changes are needed, you need to roll back the Calculate Mexico Profit Sharing process. After the element entry is created, you can rerun the Calculate Mexico Profit Sharing task.

Extract Definitions

The Profit Sharing is based on the HCM Extract standard functionality. You can use the new Mexico Profit Sharing extract definition to process profit sharing.
