Using the HCM Data Loader

The Profit Sharing process creates the HCM Data Loader text files for element entry and the Payroll Interface Inbound Record.

The text files include:

  • ElementEntry.txt

  • PayrollInterfaceInboundRecord.txt

To upload the files, you need to renamed them with a “.dat” extension. For example, ElementEntry.dat.

The ElementEntry.dat file creates two metadata rows for element entry and element entry value. There are two rows of data for each employee. For example:

The PayrollInterfaceInboundRecord.dat file creates two metadata rows:

There are three rows of data for each employee – one row of PayrollInterfaceInboundRecord and two rows for PayrollInterfaceInboundRecordInfo. For example:

Payroll Interface Inbound Records

If you chose to upload the PayrollInterfaceInboundRecord.dat file, the Payroll Interface Inbound Records page includes information for all employees that were processed in the Calculate Mexico Profit Sharing process regardless of whether they received a payment or not.

You can view the values that were used to calculate the profit sharing for those employees that received a payment. The employees that did not receive a profit sharing payment will include a message indicating their ineligibility.

To view the profit sharing audit information:

  1. From the home page, navigate to My Client Groups → Payroll → Administration → Payroll Interface Inbound Records.

  2. Search using this information:

    Mexico Profit Sharing Information

    Record Owner Type

    Person

  3. Click the name to view the person’s profit sharing information.

  4. Click Profit Sharing Information in the Extra Details region to view the person’s audit information.
