Create a Salary Rate Definition

To enable the HCM rate process to calculate salaries for supply teachers, create a rate definition as follows:

1. Use the Rate definition task to create a rate definition. Click Create.
2. Enter the details as shown:

   FIELD OR QUESTION	VALUE
   Category	Element
   Storage Type	Amount
   Element Name	The salary information element you created previously
   Base Rate	Must be selected
   Reporting required	Must be selected
   Calculate Live Rates	Must be selected (selected by default)
   Returned Live Details	Do not change
   Contributor Type	Automatically created as Input Value
