Configure Organizations for Year End for the US

Before you attempt to generate your year-end forms, make sure you've correctly configured your organizations.

This involves:

  • Configuring federal and state registrations

  • Configuring tax reporting units (TRUs)

How you configure federal and state registrations

Use the Legal Reporting Unit Registrations task to make sure you populated the following fields for each TRU.

How you configure tax reporting units

To set W-2 info for your TRUs:

  1. From My Client Groups, click Workforce Structures.

  2. Click Manage Legal Reporting Unit HCM Information.

  3. In Tax Reporting Unit, select Federal.

  4. In Federal Year-End Reporting Rules, enter the following.

    W-2 Publish Month

    Specify the month when the employee can view their W-2.

    W-2 Publish Day

    Specify the day when the employee can view their W-2.

    W-2c Publish Month

    Specify the month when the employee can view their W-2c.

    W-2c Publish Day

    Specify the day when the employee can view their W-2c.

    1099-C Publish Month

    Specify the month when the employee can view their 1099-C.

    1099-C Publish Day

    Specify the day when the employee can view their 1099-C.

  5. If necessary, set regional values.

    NJ Disability Insurance

    Identify your plan type and, if a private plan, the plan number.

    NJ Family Leave Insurance

    Identify your plan type and, if a private plan, the plan number.

  6. Click Submit.
