Create Time Rule Sets

To create rule sets, you can use the Rule Sets task in the Time Management work area.

Before you start

Create Time Rule Templates and Create Time Rules

Here's what to do

  1. On the Rule Sets page, click the Create icon.
  2. On the Create Rule Set dialog box, enter the rule set name, select the type, and edit the effective date, as needed. The default date is the current system date. If you change the date, be sure to select a date that coincides with the start of a time card period.
  3. On the Create Rule Set page, in the Basic Information section, enter a description.
  4. Edit the effective date to control when the new rule or rule edits take effect.
  5. In the Rule Set Members section, add the rules and rule sets that you want to include. The lower the processing sequence, the higher the processing priority.
  6. When you're ready, save and close the rule set.
