Important Value by Criteria Settings for Rate Components in Salary Bases

Here are some important naming conventions and selections to follow when creating value by criteria definitions to use in salary bases with rate components.

• A value definition is required to create a Value by Criteria definition, but rates-based salaries ignore the value definition. You can select any existing value definition or create your own.
• The Criteria and Value names need to be unique for the selected legislative data group.
• To return an amount, in the Unit of Measure field, select Money. Also select the relevant Periodicity and Currency values.
• To return a factor, in the Unit of Measure field, select Number.
