Run Diagnostics Test for a Failed Transaction

You can run a diagnostic test to identify the cause of a failed transaction. The diagnostic test generates a report of the transaction, which can then be used to further analyze the problem.

  1. In the Transaction Console, filter by failed transactions. Enter a keyword to find the failed transaction in a specific process. For example, search using 'Person' to find the failed transactions in the Change Personal Information process.
  2. Click on the transaction to drill-down for the transaction details. Copy the transaction ID from this page. You'll use the ID to complete the details to run the report.
  3. Navigate to your user image or name in the global header, and from the Settings and Actions menu, select Run Diagnostic Tests.
  4. In the Diagnostic Dashboard, enter Fetch transaction in the Test Name field.
  5. In the search results, select the Fetch Transaction Details check box. Then click Add to Run.
  6. In the Run Tests section, click the Required Input Values Missing warning icon.
  7. In the Input Parameters dialog box, paste the Transaction ID in the New Value column. Click OK.
  8. Enter a name in the Run Name field and click Run.
  9. Click OK in the confirmation message.
  10. In the Run Status section, click Refresh to update the status of the diagnostic test.
