Set Delivery Options

Alerts are delivered to recipients based on the communication method specified when defining the alerts.

• If the communication method is selected as email, you've to specify an expression for a valid email address. Notifications will be delivered by email.
• If the communication method is selected as worklist, you've to specify an expression for a valid user name. Notifications will be delivered by both email and worklist.

You can also test the email alert notifications in nonproduction environments when using the email communication method in the Alerts Composer tool. You need to configure the BPM worklist application preferences to provide a test notification email address. If you leave the email setting as null, no email notifications are sent to anyone in the nonproduction environments. For more information, see Define Recipients and Test Email Notifications.

During runtime, worklist notifications are sent based on the recipient's user language preference. If the corresponding language template isn't found, then Alerts Composer uses the template in the default language.
