Certificates, Overrides and Multi-Assignment Scenarios
The following details are important to note about Certificates, Overrides and Multi-Assignment Scenarios in cae of Neonatal abaences.
Manual Certificates
If a case requires a manual certificate, follow the configured Action Items to
document and track completion.
Note:
- Days covered by manual certificates are not counted for entitlement.
- Manual-certificate days are excluded from entitlement counting.
Overrides (Relevant Week, AWE)
Use overrides only when system-calculated values are incorrect. The following details are important to note:
- Case structure: There is one case per TRU.
- Relevant Week Calculation: System-calculated based on first neonatal admission date, or EWC, or Matching date provided in the admission information. If incorrect, override the Relevant Week.
- Payment rule: Payment is 90% of AWE or Weekly rate,
whichever is lower.Note: If needed for payment determination, enter AWE (Average Weekly Earnings).
Expected Result: Corrected Relevant Week/AWE supports accurate payment calculation.
Multi-Assignment Scenarios
The following details are important to note about multi assignment events:
- Multi-Assignment — Single TRU: If a person has two assignments and both belong to a single TRU, payment is split across the two assignments.
- Multi-Assignment — Multiple TRUs: If a person has two assignments and each belongs to a different TRU, there will be two cases.
- Each assignment has its own payment rate, independent of the other assignment.
Expected Result: Payments/cases align to TRU structure.
