Create Neonatal Absence Entry

Absence entries need to be created for neonatal absences.

To create neonatal absence entries:

Navigation: My Client Groups > Additional Person Info > Info Group > Neonatal Care Admission Information
  1. Create a new absence entry for the employee using the configured Neonatal absence type.
  2. During entry, select the Child Reference. Enter the Neonatal admission period(s) details for the employee.
  3. Save and submit the absence entry. Absence is recorded; eligibility and accrual drives the paid entitlement.

System Rules

  • If childbirth occurred before 06/04/2025, the child reference is not displayed when entering absence.
  • Accrual starts from the second day of admission.
  • Accrual is granted only in blocks of weeks, with a maximum of 12 weeks.
  • If admission occurs more than 28 days after date of birth, there will be no accrual.
  • Leave can be taken only when accrual exists. If leave is taken with no accrual, leave can be recorded but no payment will be generated.
