Create Neonatal Absence Entry
Absence entries need to be created for neonatal absences.
To create neonatal absence entries:
Navigation:
- Create a new absence entry for the employee using the configured Neonatal absence type.
- During entry, select the Child Reference. Enter the Neonatal admission period(s) details for the employee.
- Save and submit the absence entry. Absence is recorded; eligibility and accrual drives the paid entitlement.
System Rules
- If childbirth occurred before 06/04/2025, the child reference is not displayed when entering absence.
- Accrual starts from the second day of admission.
- Accrual is granted only in blocks of weeks, with a maximum of 12 weeks.
- If admission occurs more than 28 days after date of birth, there will be no accrual.
- Leave can be taken only when accrual exists. If leave is taken with no accrual, leave can be recorded but no payment will be generated.
