Overview of Setting Up a Plan and Type for Neonatal Care Leave

An employee is eligible for Statutory Neonatal Pay and leaves based on certain criteria set by the legislation.

Roles and Responsibilities

Level Key Responsibilities
Payroll/HR Administrator
  • Configure Absence Plan and Absence Type.
  • Ensure admission data is recorded prior to absence entry.
  • Apply overrides where required and manage manual certificate tracking.
Managers / Employees (where enabled)
  • View plan usage and interact with absences as permitted by entitlements/roles.
Note:
  • Appropriate access to Absence configuration and employee Additional Person Info pages on the application is required.
  • Employee population needs to be within the UK legislation context for Neonatal Care processing (as per the organizational standard setup).
