Create Neonatal Care Absence Plans

An absence plan needs to be created to determine and calculate a person’s entitlement to neonatal leaves and pay.

To create neonatal absence plans:

Navigation: My Client Groups > Absences > Absence Definitions > Absence Plans
  1. Click Create in the Absence Plans page and enter the Effective Date, 'United Kingdom' as the Legislation and 'Qualification' as the Plan Type in the Create Absence Plan window.
  2. In the Plan Attributes tab, enter the required details for the absence plan such as the plan name, Legislative Data Group, and others. Enter the other field values as shown:

    Legislative Grouping Code UK Statutory Neonatal Care
  3. Click the Participation tab to continue paying after employee termination.
  4. Update the Entitlement End rule to 'After Termination'.
  5. Click the Entitlements tab and enter the field values as shown below:

    Entitlement Formula ORA_HRX_GB_SNC_ENTITLEMENT
    Entitlement Start Date Absence start date
  6. Click the Entries and Balances tab, and enter the field values as shown below:

    Absence Payment Rate Rule Rate Definition
    Rate Name Select the placeholder rate definition created.
    Transfer absence payment information for payroll processing Selected
    Element Select the element that you created earlier for the plan.
  7. Save the details. Absence Type is configured, linked to the plan, and visible per entitlement settings.
