How completion and sequencing rules map to learning section and activity attributes in SpecializationV3

Completion and sequencing rules specify how learners progress through sections and activities in a learning path. Load these rules using the appropriate attributes for the level where each rule applies.

Section completion and sequencing rules

Use these SpecializationSectionV3 attributes to configure completion and sequencing rules for sections.

CompletionRuleType	Specifies whether the completion is defined at the section or activity level	ORA_COMPLETION_ACTIVITY or ORA_COMPLETION_SECTION	When you use ORA_COMPLETION_SECTION, provide a valid NumberOfActivitiesToComplete value.
NumberOfActivitiesToComplete	Number of activities learners need to complete when CompletionRuleType is ORA_COMPLETION_SECTION.	-1: All section activities are required 0 through n: The number of required activities, where n is the total number of activities in the section.	The value can't exceed the total number of section activities. When CompletionRuleType is ORA_COMPLETION_ACTIVITY, the load process ignores this value.
SequenceRuleType	Specifies when learners can access the section.	ORA_SECTION_ANYTIME: Learner can access the section at any time. ORA_SECTION_PREVIOUS: Learner can access the section after completing the preceding section. ORA_SECTION_AFTER_COMPL: Learner can access the section after completing the section identified by the SequenceRuleSectionNumber value.	You can't use ORA_SECTION_PREVIOUS when no previous section exists. When you use ORA_SECTION_AFTER_COMPL, provide a SequenceRuleSectionNumber value that identifies a section in the same offering. Make sure that you don't define any cyclic dependencies between the sections, such as section A depends on section B and section B depends on section A.
SequenceRuleSectionNumber	Specifies the section that learners need to complete before they can access this section when SequenceRuleType is ORA_SECTION_AFTER_COMPL	A SpecializationSectionNumber value for a section in the same learning path.	When SequenceRuleType is ORA_SECTION_AFTER_COMPL, provide a SequenceRuleSectionNumber value for a section in the same learning path. Otherwise, the load process ignores any provided value.

Activity completion and sequencing rules

Use these SpecializationSectionActivityV3 attributes to configure completion and sequencing rules for activities.

ORA_ACTIVITY_PREVIOUS: Learners can access the activity after completing the preceding activity. ORA_ACTIVITY_AFTER_COMPL: Learners can access the activity after completing the activity identified by the SequenceRuleActivityNumber value.	You can't use ORA_ACTIVITY_PREVIOUS when no preceding activity exists. When you use ORA_ACTIVITY_AFTER_COMPL, provide a SequenceRuleActivityNumber value that identifies an activity in the same learning path section.
