Supported create and update statuses when loading learning assignments on behalf of line managers

Load required or voluntary learning assignments on behalf of line managers. The supported creation statuses and status changes vary by learning type.

Use the ORA_EVT_SUBT_MANAGER assignment subtype.

For courses, offerings, learning paths, videos, and learning journeys, you can create required or voluntary assignments with an Active status. The supported status changes vary by learning type.

Course assignments

You can make these status changes:

• Active to Completed or Bypass Completed
• Active to Withdrawn
• Active to Delete
• Completed or Bypass Completed to Active
• Completed or Bypass Completed to Delete
• Withdrawn to Delete
• Delete to Purge

Activity sequencing affects how the load process handles an existing completed, unexpired assignment for the same course. When activity sequencing is turned on and you create a required or voluntary course assignment, the load process creates an assignment with an Active status and expires the existing assignment.

• For a required assignment, the existing assignment expiration date is the same as the new assignment due date.
• For a voluntary assignment, the existing assignment expiration date is the same as the new assignment start date.

When activity sequencing is turned off, the load process creates a course assignment with a Completed status.

Offering assignments

You can make these status changes:

• Active to Withdrawn
• Active to Delete
• Completed to Delete
• Withdrawn to Delete
• Delete to Purge

You can't load active offering assignments for learners whose employment was terminated. You also can't create an offering assignment with an initial status of Completed. You can create a completed course assignment, as described in the previous section. Then use the ActualScore attribute in the LearningRecord.dat file to load a passing score for the corresponding offering assignment.
