Create Time Rule Sets

You create a collection of rules and rule sets of the same type. You then assign these rule sets to groups of people with similar requirements for vacation, time validation, and time processing.

  1. Create Time Rule Templates.
  2. Create Time Rules.
  3. Go to My Client Groups > Time Management > Tasks > Rule Sets.
  4. Create a rule set.
  5. On the Create Rule Set dialog box, enter the rule set name, select the type, and edit the effective date, as needed. The default date is the current device date. If you change the date, be sure to select a date that coincides with the start of a time card period.
  6. On the Create Rule Set page, in the Basic Information section, enter a description.
  7. Edit the effective date to control when the new rule or rule edits take effect.
  8. In the Rule Set Members section, add the rules and rule sets that you want to include. The lower the processing sequence, the higher the processing priority.
  9. When you're ready, save and close the rule set.
