How do I generate personalized compensation change statements?
Start in OTBI.
There are several permissions you need to confirm or add when generating a personalized custom compensation change statement.
Navigate to Shared Folders > Custom > Human Capital Management > Compensation
In the Tasks list, click Permissions.
Highlight the Location path and the BI Consumer Role permission.
First, confirm that the BI Consumer Role permission has been assigned to both the Compensation folder and the Workforce Compensation folder.
Click Cancel.
Click the Workforce Compensation folder.
Highlight the Location path and the BI Consumer Role permission.
Click Cancel.
Click to select the Compensation Workbench Print Statements.
Then confirm that the Generate Compensation Allocation Statements by Line Manager and Generate Compensation Allocation Statements by Compensation Manager permissions are assigned to the Compensation Workbench Print Statements report.
In the Tasks list, click Permissions.
Highlight the Define Compensation Plan Definition, Generate Compensation Allocation Statements by Line Manager and Generate Compensation Allocation Statements by Compensation Manager permissions.
Click OK.
Once you’ve confirmed these permissions, you can upload, view, and generate personalized custom compensation change statements. Open the application and navigate to the Workforce Compensation Plans work area.
Sign in to the application and start on the Home page.
Click My Client Groups.
Click Compensation.
Click Workforce Compensation Plans.
Click Annual Compensation Plan.
Open Compensation Change Statements and click Manage Statement Groups.
In the Configure Worksheets section, click Compensation Change Statements.
Click Manage Statement Groups.
Click Manage Templates.
Click Upload, then locate and upload your personalized compensation change statement template.
Click Upload.
Click Cancel.
Once you’ve uploaded your template, you can preview it to make sure it’s displaying correctly.
In the Sample Templates section, Compensation Change Statement Template.rtf row, click the Preview icon.
The sample template will open in a new tab.
In your browser, go back to the application.
If the template displays correctly, click Save and Close.
Click Save and Close.
Then add the template you uploaded to the Annual Compensation Plan Statements Statement Group.
Click Annual Compensation Plan Statements.
Click the Add icon.
In the new row, click the Template drop-down list and click Search.
Search for and select Compensation Change Statement Template.rtf.
Click OK.
Enter a meaningful display name.
In the Display Name field, enter Annual Compensation Letter V2.
Then click Save and Close.
Click Save and Close.
To generate this personalized compensation change statement, sign in as a manager and open the Workforce Compensation work area.
Click the Home icon.
Click My Team.
Click Workforce Compensation.
Click the Communicate task, select the worker you want to generate the statement for, select the template you uploaded, and click Generate.
Click Communicate.
In the Eden, Sue row, click the View or Print icon.
Click Annual Compensation Plan Letter V2.
Click Generate.
