How do I add records to my HCM extracts?

Hello, my name is Ken. In this video, I’ll explain how to add records to my HCM extracts.

In this example we’ll use an existing extract definition to extract person details.

We’ll add a record to the Extract Person Details Data Group.

The records are a grouping of related data that includes the fields required for your extract.

For the best performance at least one record should be added.

Add a record to the extract.

Enter a sequence and create a name.

The tag name is populated automatically, when you press the Tab key.

Since this record is extracting data, we’ll select the Detail record type.

For the first record, the process type is Fast Formula. The values you can select vary based on the Record type selected for additional records.

In the Advanced Conditions section, you can create a condition, such as removing certain data when the criteria entered is met. Also, you can enter exclusion rules or a record sort order.

Since, I’m not entering any advanced conditions for this record, I’ll save it.

And close the confirmation message.
