How do I submit diagnostics?

If support has requested that you send them diagnostics, and you have access to the diagnostics framework, first find the data set that’s in error.

Click My Client Groups.

Click Data Exchange.

Click Import and Load Data.

You do not need to be the owner of the data set to submit diagnostics for it. To see all data sets, click Show Filters, clear the name in the Created By field and click Search.

Click Show Filters.

Delete the name in the Created By field.

Highlight Search.

Click Hide Filters.

When you find the data set, copy either the Content ID or the Process ID. You’ll need to supply at least one of those to submit diagnostics.

For the CalculationCard.zip data set, select and copy the Content ID.

Then open the Diagnostic dashboard.

Click Settings and Actions and select Run Diagnostics Test.

Search for the HCM Data Loader Error Analysis report.

In the Test Name field, enter HCM data loader error.

Click Search.

Select the report and click Add to Run.

In the Search Results, click to select HCM Data Loader Error Analysis Report.

Click Add to Run.

Then enter the parameters.

In the Run Tests section, Input column, click the Input Values Validated icon.

There are 4 parameters you can supply. Again, you’ll at least need to supply either the Content ID or the Process ID. If the data set has multiple business object files, you can choose one of those here. Otherwise, it’ll run for all of them. If support has requested to see the stack trace, select the Detailed Mode field and set it to Y.

Click to select the Content ID field, then paste the Content ID copied earlier.

Click to select the Detailed Mode field, then enter Y.

Click OK.

Now that you’ve added the parameters, run the test.

In the Run Tests section, click Run.

Click OK.

Click Refresh to see the current test status.

In the Diagnostic Test Run Status section, click the Refresh icon.

Expand the results to confirm the error report completed successfully and had no issues.

Click to expand the folders in the run results.

You can view the diagnostic output by clicking the Report icon.

In the HCM Data Loader Error Analysis Report row, click the Report icon.

This is the report you can share with support for assistance. It displays the top 25 errors, based on the error count. Within each error only 10 records are displayed for a given .dat file in a data set. To save the report, right-click the page and select the format and where you want to save it.

Right-click the report.

Select Save Page As…

We recommend using a Chrome or Firefox browser, and suggest saving the report as a Complete Web Page.

Click Save.

Thanks for watching.
