Recommend AI-Based Career Roles Using Recommendation Profiles

Career roles can be recommended based on generative AI when creating or updating recommendation profiles. Recommendations are generated based on the synthetic summaries of the target audience’s talent profile and job profile.

Run the Create Summaries Using Generative AI Scheduled Process.

When the recommendation profile completes running, the career role recommendations appear on the Grow and Opportunity Marketplace pages, providing targeted guidance when users explore development opportunities.

A few points to note:

• Recommendations will be generated for only for those jobs that have an associated job profile.
• Only career roles in active status will be recommended.
• If a recommended career role was already added by the employee as a favorite career, that career role won’t show up as a recommendation.

If the ORA_WLF_RECOM_IGNORE_LEARNER_ENGMT profile option is set to N, recommendations are created only for those users who aren't already engaged with the career role. If it's set to Y, recommendations are created for all users, regardless of prior engagement.

Here's what to do

1. Go to My Client Groups > Learning and Development > Recommendations.
2. Add a recommendation profile.
3. On the New Recommendation Profile page, enter a name and summary for the recommendation profile.
4. From the Profile Type list, select the option, Identify objectives automatically.
5. Select the Career role recommendations checkbox.
6. In the Recipient info section, select the sender of this recommendation and add recommendation comments as needed.
7. Schedule the recommendation as one-time or recurring.
8. Add the audience who will get the recommendations.
9. Save the recommendation profile.

What to do next

Ensure that you enable the profile option, ORA_HRD_ENABLE_LLM_SUMM_CAREER_ROLE_SUGGSNS, to display the career role recommendations in the Grow swim lane and Opportunity Marketplace.
