How is personally identifiable information secured when I rehire a person in Redwood?

By default, line managers don’t have the required data security privileges and applicable data access to view or manage a person’s Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

In the Redwood Rehire flow, a user who doesn’t have access to the person being rehired and the relevant PII data can’t view, manage, or add data in the affected PII sections such as Address, National Identifier, Passport, Driver's License, and Visa and Permits. Redwood intentionally prevents users from adding new PII records when they can’t access the existing data. This helps in protecting sensitive information and avoiding duplicate or inconsistent records.

If the user doesn’t have the required access, we recommend that they complete the rehire without updating the restricted PII. After the rehire is complete, an authorized user having the required privileges can update the PII data.
