Understand Role Based Access and Security Considerations

As administrators, you can define the role-based access control to manage the use of the application resources.

You can define and grant the users permissions to work with application functions and data based on their roles in your organization. You can assign a user different roles and grant access to the resources. The job role providing the greatest level of access takes precedence.

Role-based security in Oracle Cloud applications helps you manage and control who can do what on which set of data. You can assign job and abstract roles to a user manually, when you create the user, or automatically, by creating role provisioning rules.

The following roles use the retail execution and promotions management:

• Sales Manager

• Field salesperson

• Marketing Manager

  Additionally, you must create and configure Account Manager role that's covered in Setup and Maintenance configurations in this document.
